“I watched as the craft floated above the field, it was so unreal so mind disrupting, then there was the flash of light and it was gone and I woke up in bed the next morning remembering nothing of the night before except what I told you,” Lisa said with a dazed look on her face. “What did the craft look like?” I asked. “It was triangular… and silver… like a metal paper airplane,” she said slowly trying to remember the details. My partner looked at Lisa then at me and whispered into my ear, “She’s been tested for alcohol consumption and drugs correct?” “Yes,” I replied. “And she’s been tested with the lie detector?” my partner asked. “Yes,” I said again annoyed at my partner for disrupting my thoughts. “She must have been in the field that day and fell asleep dreaming and then sleepwalked home,” my partner said trying to reason. “How the hell could she have sleepwalked from a field nearly a mile away from her home and gotten into her bedroom safely?” I said angrily to my partner. “Has anything been different since your encounter?” I asked trying to sound calm. “Well, they talk to me,” Lisa said. “Who talks to you?” I asked. “I’m not sure,” Lisa said with a confused expression on her face. “What do they say?” I asked. “They tell me things strange things, like small bits of information and sometimes they tell me to do things,” Lisa said. “What do they tell you to do? And do you do them?” I asked. “They tell me to write and draw things for them and hide the papers containing my work in the field and yes I do what they tell me to do,” she said. “Why do you follow their orders?” I asked. “Because if I don’t they get angry and when they are angry I hurt,” she said looking around anxiously. “How do they hurt you?” I asked. “I don’t know, I just hurt when they are angry,” she said. “Do you ever have strange dreams?” I asked. “Yes,” she replied. “Can you tell me about them?” I asked. “No,” she said. “Why?” I asked. “Because they said I can’t,” she said. “You can tell us I promise nothing will happen,” I said. She began to say something but then fell to the floor grasping at the air “No I can’t! I can’t tell you!” she screamed. “No! No! I promise I won’t tell them anything, just stop!” she screamed at no one in particular. My partner rushed to her side. “She’s having a seizure, get help now!” my partner yelled. I immediately got help after Lisa’s seizure had ended Lisa’s doctor came to my partner and I “I want you to leave Lisa alone for awhile, I know that this is part of your jobs but this is getting to her I have reason to think that your visits are causing her condition to worsen,” he said. “Okay we’ll leave her alone for awhile,” my partner said then she pulled me by my hand into the hallway. “This is going too far it’s obvious that Lisa is delusional and we are making it even harder for her to recover from her condition,” she said angrily “this is just a wild goose chase, none of it adds up let’s just drop the case and move on.” “I am not dropping this case!” I yelled, “It makes perfect sense she’s been abducted and we both know that!” “Stop it this is getting ridiculous!” She yelled back. “Just give me another couple of days on the case please!” I pleaded. “Fine, but just a couple days and if you can’t find any good evidence we’re closing the case okay?”She said. “Thank you,” I said.
